What types of insurance do you offer?
- Health Insurance – We are contracted with all major California health insurance companies, allowing us to offer policies directly with carriers and also through Covered California.
- Covered California – Terpstra Benefits agents are certified with Covered California (California’s health care exchange, formed as part of the Affordable Care Act “aka Obama Care”). We can explain the law and help navigate you through the confusing process. There is no additional cost in working with a Certified Insurance Agent.
- Short Term Health Insurance - If you missed the Open Enrollment period for purchasing health insurance and need health insurance, short term plans are an excellent alternative. You can buy a policy to hold you over until next year’s open enrollment.
- Dental Insurance – We offer both PPO and Dental HMO Plans with numerous insurance companies.

- Life Insurance – Being an independent insurance agency, we are open to work with a multitude of insurance carriers, rather than any one company. We work with a specialty wholesaler who has over 25 highly rated insurance companies. They assist us in finding the company that best meets your needs. Each of our life insurance companies has been selected for a specific purpose. The reasons vary from top financial strength, product innovation, and underwriting expertise to compensation and effective business processes.
- Long Term Care Insurance – As the “Baby Boomers” are now retiring, they are looking for ways to protect their assets and have the peace of mind that if they can no longer can care for themselves, they have an insurance plan to protect them from running out of assets and being reliant on family members to care for them. Terpstra Benefits has access to seven high-rated Long Term Care insurance companies. Financial ratings, commitment to the market, and competitive products and rates are the major criteria used to select and maintain the portfolio of Long Term Care carriers.
- Fixed Annuities – This insurance vehicle is an excellent way to protect your assets and guarantee that you will not run out of money. We have access to over 25 highly rated insurance companies. Financial ratings, innovative product offerings, competitive product features, and a long term view on the market are the major criteria used to select our portfolio of annuity carriers.
- Disability Insurance – Commitment to the market, benefit definitions, and financial strength are the primary criteria used to select our portfolio of disability carriers.
- Travel Insurance – Short-term plans, long-term plans, trip insurance and international plans for students. These two leading companies have teamed up to meet all your needs.
