Scott Terpstra - Small Employer & Individuals & Family Benefits Specialist/Broker

Scott Terpstra, owner and founder, is a 36-year veteran in the health and employee benefit insurance arena.  He has extensive background in virtually all forms of employee benefits. Small and large employer group plans and self-insured health plans. He has owned and managed underwriting and administration companies and has been instrumental in the start-up of several new companies and has also has extensive knowledge in flexible compensation ( FSAs, HRAs and HSAs). The passage of the Affordable Care Act (i.e. Obama Care) changed the landscape of employee benefits radically. Terpstra Benefits was founded to deliver small employers all of the advantages that the Affordable Care Act has provided.

Cathy Terpstra - Senior (Medicare) Products Specialist/Broker

After 15 years of key administrative & office management positions, Cathy took her skill set into the health insurance world in 2009.  She specializes in assisting employees and families enroll in their insurance plans.  She is a licensed agent, as well as, a Covered California Certified Insurance Agent. She is proficient at navigating the new law, advising and enrolling individuals and families through Covered California and assisting them how to maximize their benefits. Her devotion to ensuring that our clients are informed, understand their insurance options and make the best choices for themselves and their families, is a key reason why our clients are secure and comfortable during these times of health care transition.
